Refer friends. Earn up to $100 each. When you and a friend invest with Moneybox, you can both earn rewards.

It’s our way of helping you grow together.

These Terms and Conditions govern your participation in the Moneybox Referral Program (“Referral Program”) offered by Moneybox and operated by Moneybox IM Pty Ltd (ACN 687 133 124, AR 001317023) ("Moneybox", "we", "us", "our"). By participating in this program, you agree to the following terms.

These Referral Program Terms should be read in conjunction with the Moneybox General Terms & Conditions, available at https://www.moneyboxinvest.com/terms, and our Privacy Policy. In the event of any conflict, these Referral Program Terms take precedence for referral-related matters.

This referral program offers up to $100 each for successful referrals, depending on the referee’s investment amount.

To be eligible for the $100 reward, the referrer must maintain an active investment of at least $10,000. For the $50 reward, a minimum investment of $5,000 is required.

1. Eligibility

The Referral Program is open to existing Moneybox clients who:
  • Have an active Moneybox investment account, and
  • Have personally made a minimum investment of $5,000.
  • Are Australian residents aged 18 years or older.
  • Are in good standing with no history of program abuse or fraud.

Referee Eligibility

The referee must:
  • Be a new customer of Moneybox (no previous account).
  • Meet all standard Moneybox eligibility criteria to invest.
  • Be an Australian resident aged 18 years or older.
  • Complete identity verification and AML/CTF compliance checks.

Active Investment Threshold

The referrer must hold an active Moneybox investment of at least
  • $5,000 for the $50 reward, or
  • $10,000 for the $100 reward, at the time the referral is confirmed.

Referral Submissions

Referrals must be submitted through:
  • A unique referral code shared by the referrer, or
  • The in-app feature that allows users to email a friend directly with their code.
  • The referee must enter the referral code during account signup or before making their first investment.

Program Duration

This Referral Program is valid from 8 September 2025, unless extended, paused, or terminated by Moneybox at its sole discretion.

Eligible Referrers and Referees

  • Both individuals and companies or trusts may participate in the Referral Program as referrers and/or referees.
  • If a company or trust refers an eligible investor (individual or another company or trust), the $100 referral reward will be credited to the company or trust's Moneybox account. Likewise, if a company or trust is referred, the $100 reward will be credited to that company or trust's account upon meeting eligibility requirements.
  • In all cases, referral bonuses are paid to the registered Moneybox account that completes the referral or investment action, not to associated directors, employees, or third parties.

2. Referral Reward Structure

Referrer Reward

  • The referrer will receive a reward based on the amount invested by their referred friend:
    • $50 if the referee invests between $5,000 and $9,999.
    • $100 if the referee invests $10,000 or more.
  • This reward is granted only if:
    • The referred friend successfully opens a Moneybox account.
    • The referee completes the 14-day cooling-off period with their investment still active.
    • All compliance and verification checks are satisfied.
    • The referrer must meet the Active Investment Threshold at the time the referral is confirmed.
  • Rewards are capped at 10 successful referrals per client (maximum of $1,000 in total rewards).

Additional Referrer Requirements

  • The referrer must maintain a qualifying Moneybox investment balance:
    • Minimum $5,000 for the $50 referral tier.
    • Minimum $10,000 for the $100 referral tier.
  • Only one referral reward per unique referee is permitted

Referee Reward

  • The referee will receive a reward based on their investment amount:
    • The referrer must maintain the investment level outlined in the Active Investment Threshold.
  • This reward is granted only if:
    • Remain invested in a valid Moneybox fund for the full 14 -day cooling-off period, without cancellation or withdrawal.
    • Satisfying all identity verification and compliance requirements.
    • The referrer must meet the Active Investment Threshold.

3. Reward Options and Delivery

  • Both referrer and referee can choose to receive their $100 reward:
    • As a cash payout, or
    • As a credit to their Moneybox investment account, which will begin earning returns.
  • Rewards are issued automatically once eligibility criteria are met and all account activity is verified by Moneybox.

Processing Timeline

Rewards are processed:
  • Within 10 business days after the eligibility criteria are met.
  • Following the completion of all compliance verification checks.
  • After confirmation that the 14-day cooling-off period has expired without withdrawal.

Notification

Users will be notified of their reward via:
  • Email to their registered email address.
  • In-app messaging through the Moneybox platform.
  • SMS notification (if enabled).

Delivery Method

Cash payouts will be made via direct credit to the participant's nominated bank account within 5 business days of processing.

4. How to Refer

  • Referrers can:
    • Share their unique referral code manually, or
    • Use the "email a friend" tool in the Moneybox app to send a referral invite directly.
    • Share their referral link through social media or other platforms.

Tracking

Referral status can be viewed in-app via the referral dashboard, which displays:
  • Number of referrals sent.
  • Referral status (pending, approved, rewarded).
  • Available reward balance.
  • Referral history.

Timing Requirements

The referee must enter the referral code during account signup or before making their first investment. Codes entered after this point will not be eligible for rewards.

5. Data and Privacy

Information Sharing

By participating in the Referral Program:
  • Referrers consent to Moneybox sharing their first name with referees.
  • Referees consent to Moneybox notifying referrers of successful account opening (first name only).
  • Both parties consent to processing of referral data for program administration.

Data Protection

All personal information collected through the Referral Program is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

Marketing Consent

Participation constitutes consent to receive program-related communications, including promotional materials about future referral opportunities.

6. General Conditions and Program Integrity

Verification Rights

Moneybox reserves the right to verify all referrals and participants. All rewards are subject to compliance verification including:
  • Eligibility confirmation.
  • Identity verification.
  • Transaction validation.
  • Fraud and abuse screening.

Prohibited Activities

The following activities will result in immediate disqualification and may result in withholding, reversing, or reclaiming rewards:
  • Self-referrals (referring yourself under another email or account).
  • Creating multiple accounts to circumvent program limits.
  • Fraudulent referrals or providing false information.
  • Any form of program manipulation or abuse.
  • Offering to share rewards with referees as an inducement.

Investigation Procedures

If Moneybox suspects program abuse:
  • Rewards may be suspended pending investigation.
  • Participants may be required to provide additional verification.
  • Decisions regarding program violations are final and binding.
  • Legal action may be taken for fraudulent activities.

Program Modifications

Moneybox may modify, pause, or terminate the Referral Program at any time with:
  • 7 days' notice for significant changes to the reward structure.
  • Immediate effect for program suspension due to abuse or technical issues.
  • No notice required for minor clarifications or improvements.

Transfer Restrictions

Rewards are not transferable between accounts or redeemable for cash outside the specified payout methods.

Combination Restrictions

Referral rewards may not be combined with other Moneybox promotions, discounts, or sign-up incentives unless otherwise specified.

7. Tax Considerations

Tax Implications

Referral rewards may be considered assessable income under Australian tax law and could have tax implications for recipients.

Participant Responsibility

Participants are solely responsible for:
  • Determining their tax obligations regarding rewards received.
  • Reporting rewards in their tax returns as required.
  • Seeking independent tax advice for their specific circumstances.

No Tax Advice

Moneybox does not provide tax advice and recommends seeking independent financial or tax advice regarding the treatment of referral rewards.

Tax Documentation

Moneybox may issue statements or notifications to assist with tax reporting, but this does not constitute tax advice.

8. Program Limitations and Capacity

Program Capacity

Moneybox reserves the right to:
  • Limit the total number of participants or referrals accepted.
  • Temporarily suspend the program if capacity is reached.
  • Implement waiting lists during high-demand periods.

Geographic Restrictions

The program is available only to Australian residents with Australian addresses and bank accounts.

Seasonal Restrictions

The program may be suspended during certain periods for operational or compliance reasons.

9. Cancellation and Opt-Out

Participant Cancellation

Referrers may opt out of the program at any time by:
  • Contacting customer support.
  • Using the opt-out function in the app.
  • Outstanding referrals in progress will continue to be processed.

Account Closure

If a participant closes their Moneybox account:
  • Pending rewards will be forfeited unless already approved for payment.
  • Processing rewards will be paid to the last nominated bank account.
  • Future participation in referral programs may be restricted.

10. Dispute Resolution and Complaints

Internal Resolution

Complaints about the Referral Program should be directed to:

Resolution Timeline

We will:
  • Acknowledge complaints within 1 business day.
  • Investigate and provide a written response within 21 days.
  • Escalate complex matters to senior management as required.

External Dispute Resolution

If unsatisfied with our response, participants may lodge a complaint with:
  • Australian Financial Complaints Authority (AFCA)

  • This service is free to consumers.

Final Decisions

Moneybox's decisions regarding program eligibility, reward entitlements, and program violations are final and binding, subject only to external dispute resolution rights.

11. Force Majeure and Program Suspension

Force Majeure Events

Moneybox is not liable for program delays or suspension due to circumstances beyond reasonable control, including:
  • Natural disasters or extreme weather events.
  • Government actions or regulatory changes.
  • Technical failures or cyber security incidents.
  • Banking system disruptions.

Program Suspension

We may temporarily suspend the program for:
  • System maintenance or upgrades.
  • Regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Investigation of suspected abuse.
  • Operational or technical issues.

Suspension Notice

Where reasonably practicable, we will provide advance notice of planned suspensions via email and in-app notifications.

12. Legal Framework

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.

Jurisdiction

Participants submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Victorian courts for any disputes arising from these terms or participation in the Referral Program.

Severability

If any provision of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force and effect.

Entire Agreement

These terms, together with the main Moneybox Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement regarding the Referral Program.

Licensing
